Helo teamed up with world-renowned designer Ristomatti Ratia to develop the perfect sauna heater, and the sleek black ever-ready heater was then called Saunatonttu or ”Sauna elf”. This multi-patented innovation with a great European design is hailed by many as unquestionably the world’s best sauna heater.

The secret of the Saunatonttu lies in the continuous heat generated by 100 kg of stones stored in the well-insulated heater to store constant heat for long periods. The stones release soft, abundant, and rich steam when a ladle of water is thrown on them. The small safety distances required bring flexibility to sauna interior design, and this corner model heater can also be easily mounted to the sauna benches. Saunatonttu has a small handy controller for all heater parameters.
