Cob clay mix is developed by mimicking a strong clay surface. It can be used to build houses, make building blocks, and even be used on wall surfaces to create curved shapes and corners.

The word COB comes from an old English word meaning “piece” or “loaf”.

Cob is a mixture of clay, sand and straw. Depending on the object, up to 20 cm long straw can be added to the mixture during the work process. As a rule, the mixture is mixed on top of the load cover by stomping with feet or in a special mixing machine.

Cob mix is a strong building material, and houses built from it can last for millennia. The oldest known house built in the Cob style is 10,000 years old.
